Harbinger Group Inc. Sets Date for 2014 Annual Meeting of Stockholders
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Apr. 11, 2014-- Harbinger Group Inc. (NYSE:HRG) (“HGI”) announced today that its 2014 Annual Meeting of Stockholders will be held on May 30, 2014, at 10:00 a.m., Eastern Time, at the offices of Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP, 1285 Avenue of the Americas, New York, New York 10019-6064. HGI intends to distribute its Proxy Statement to its stockholders on or about April 25, 2014. The record date for the meeting is April 21, 2014. To be timely, pursuant to HGI’s Bylaws and Rule 14a-8 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, as amended, any notice of business or nominations with respect to the 2014 Annual Meeting of Stockholders must be received by no later than 5:00 p.m., Eastern Time, on April 22, 2014. Any such stockholder proposal must be submitted and must comply with the applicable rules and regulations of the Securities and Exchange Commission, including Rule 14a-8 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, as amended, and HGI’s Bylaws.
